Mines been on shipment registered. The majority of my packages do not update tracking until the destined post office at least. You obviously know more about your postal system than myself though I was speaking with someone located in LA and he mentioned waiting about 7 weeks for something shipped from just 200 from him this was a couple of years back but I doubt the story does not repeat elsewhere every day.
It took a day and a half for it to be stuck on label created and then when it shipped you would get updates you.
